To ensure long-term stability of the VOD service and to reorganize storage policies, the VOD replay retention policy will be updated.
With this change, the replay availability period and permanent retention criteria will vary depending on the streamer tier.
The updated policy will apply not only to VOD replays created after the effective date, but also to existing replays.
We are providing this advance notice so that streamers can fully review the changes.
Additionally, a service update will be introduced to help easily identify content affected by the new policy.
Details on the updated criteria, implementation schedule, and how the policy will apply to previously permanently stored VOD replays are provided below.

Q1. What is changing?
The retention criteria for VOD replays for General and Best streamers will change.
The playback period and permanent storage conditions will be applied differently.
Q2. Does this apply to all VODs?
No. It applies only to VOD replays. Clips, Catch, and uploaded VODs remain unchanged.
Q3. Will this apply to existing VOD replays?
Yes. The updated policy will also apply to VODs already stored.
Q4. Will existing VOD replays be deleted immediately?
No. They will remain until the policy takes effect. However, if they do not meet the new criteria by the effective date, they may be deleted.
Please download and store your VODs in advance if needed.
Q5. Can I check which VODs will be affected in advance?
Yes. In early May, streamers will be able to check VODs subject to deletion under the new policy via their channel page.
Q6. What is the deletion criteria?
The policy is applied based on the VOD upload date.
For General streamers, VODs that were permanently stored after reaching 50 views may be deleted based on the new 1-year storage rule.
For Best streamers, previously permanently stored VODs may be deleted if they do not meet the 1,000 views threshold within the 2-year period.

Q7. What counts as views?
The view count used in this policy refers to unique views of the VOD replay.
It does not include cumulative views from live stream participants.
Q8. Why is this change being made?
To ensure long-term service stability and improve storage policy standards.

The policy will take effect on June 1, 2026.
Details such as the exact time will be announced separately.
Even after the policy change, VOD replay retention will remain at a high standard compared to other platforms.
