When does the Adaptive Quality Prompt appear?
The Adaptive Quality Prompt appears during certain situations to enhance your viewing experience. If you're watching in fixed quality (360p ~ 1080p) and poor network conditions are detected, the prompt will notify you.
Poor network conditions are typically identified when there’s a buffer gap of 5 seconds or more between video and audio. If the network remains unstable and auto quality mode hasn’t been enabled, the prompt will reappear after 1 hour. Each prompt is displayed for 5 seconds to minimize disruption.
What information does the prompt provide?
When the prompt appears, it provides a clear recommendation: switching to auto quality ensures smoother playback by automatically adjusting to your network conditions. Once auto quality is enabled, the network issue prompt will no longer appear.
What happens if I don’t enable auto quality?
If you decide not to enable auto quality and your network conditions remain poor, the prompt will continue to reappear at 1 hour intervals, and you may experience interruptions or buffering.
Enabling auto quality has clear advantages. It dynamically adjusts video quality based on your network speed, ensuring uninterrupted and stable viewing. Once enabled, you can enjoy your content without additional prompts or buffering issues.
If you’ve enabled auto quality but still encounter issues, try the following:
Check your network connection by resetting your Wi-Fi or verifying your mobile data connection.
Ensure your app or browser is updated to the latest version.
Move to a location with a stronger or more stable network signal.
