We are notifying you of upcoming changes to the Terms of Service & Privacy Policy, effective April 15, 2025. Below are the main changes:

Main Changes for SOOP Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Article 3 – Applicability and Amendment (Terms of Service)

  • Added detailed procedures and notice periods for changes to the Terms, including user consent and opt-out guidance.
  • Clarified acceptable methods of notification, including email, in-app push notifications, and notice board postings.

Article 5 – Sign Up  (Terms of Service)

  • Lowered the minimum age requirement for service use from 16 to 13 years old.

  • Added requirement for parental or guardian consent for users under the legal age of majority.

  • Included restrictions on users who have previously been suspended or removed from SOOP.

  • Introduced additional protections for minors in accordance with COPPA, CCPA, and CPRA (e.g., opt-in for personal data processing, parental consent verification).

 

Article 14 – Attribution of Rights (Terms of Service)

  • Clarified the Company’s license to use user-generated content for service and promotional purposes.

  • Defined conditions for content retention, user-requested deletion, and legal compliance.

  • Added user representations and warranties regarding ownership and lawfulness of uploaded content.

Article 15 – Promotional Materials (Terms of Service)

  • Promotional push notifications will be sent only with the user’s explicit prior consent (opt-in).

  • Users may withdraw consent at any time via:

    • App notification settings

    • Mobile device settings

    • Customer support

15. Promotional Materials (Privacy Policy)

Section 2.2.6 – Promotional Communications

  • Promotional push notifications will be sent only after opt-in consent.

  • Users may manage preferences through app settings, device settings, or support contact.

Section 2.3.4 – Children’s Privacy

  • Reinforced compliance with COPPA – SOOP does not collect personal data from users under 13.

  • If a user under 13 is identified, SOOP will promptly delete all related data.

  • Provided contact channel for parents/guardians to request account removal for minors.



Effective Date of the Amendment:  April 15, 2025.
